Since 1995, I have been involved in building technology to manage data for the benefit of organizations. Today, I handle websites and membership platforms that address the needs of non-profit and volunteer organizations. People are the most important component of these organizations, and maintaining good communication with them is essential. |
My mission is to build organizational relationships between organizations, social entities, and non-profit organizations with their members, using the latest advances in technology.
FROM NEWT CENTER AT RICE UNIVERSITY
“Rodney Wise put together the membership website for our Nanotechnology Enabled Water Treatment (NEWT) NSF Engineering Research Center. Rodney was always responsive to our questions and addressed all of our needs promptly. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone needing help with the Wild Apricot platform. He will always be the first person we call if we have questions or want to expand what the platform is doing for us. "— Matt Hotze, Administrative Director, NEWT A joint effort by Rice University, Arizona State University, University of Texas at El Paso and Yale University
FROM DALLAS PALEONTOLOGICAL SOCIETY
“Dallas Paleo Society had been in need of a website overhaul for a long time. It was hard to consider changing what we had, even though our former website was cumbersome and limited with past technologies. Rodney Wise offered to redo our website. The first thing that he did was research. His research involved examining all of the products available and understanding our group’s needs. He showed me why one product would meet our needs better than the other products on the market. He chose Wild Apricot, a name that I did not know, for our group based upon its ability to meet our current needs and to meet our future needs. Rodney’s ability to manipulate the Wild Apricot product and the product’s ability to meet our current and growing needs has been exceptional. We have a usable and attractive website that is getting a good amount of interaction from our members and the public and has been a great “face” for our organization. Our ability to have our membership on line in an organized and automated system is a godsend. The former volunteers for the membership duties had one of the most tedious, onerous, and undervalued jobs in the Society. The job now is a breeze. Everything that I have asked of the website, Rodney has been able to make the site do. I am appreciative of Rodney Wise and appreciative of Wild Apricot. Wild Apricot put out a product for our current and future needs and Rodney Wise knows how to make that product fit our particular desires and needs.— Lee Higginbotham, President, Dallas Paleontological Society
FROM PATENT INFORMATION USERS GROUP, INC.
“Our organization chose Wild Apricot as the basis for our membership database and events activities eight years ago. We also were using a separate platform for a wiki which was powered by Atlassian Confluence and themed by RefinedTheme. Unfortunately, the two platforms were not able to interconnect, requiring two separate logins. This delayed access to many of the features of the wiki until a volunteer could update the wiki’s database to allow access to changes with membership.
Our Board decided to hire someone who could integrate many of the wiki’s features into the Wild Apricot system. Rodney was identified as a Wild Apricot expert and was able to design the new look in our website to include more use of graphics, create ease of access to important information maintained by our organization and incorporate key features provided by the wiki. This eliminated the delay in access for new members. It has been a pleasure working with Rodney and I look forward to working with him on special projects as we continue to develop our website.
